The Difference

I believe the mother in Little Cog Burt missed her children and with her having to watch all these other dark children she started to despise the children that she had to watch. The mom was in the story missed her children and she wanted them back. In this story she seemed to be made out as a brute or an evil person, however also she wanted was her children back in her lives, so she could be happy like the rest of the dark children as they were joyful and laughing. The families that reminded her once of her own was no more. She had sent her kids to a private school, so they would have a better education and life. Therefore, the dark children being as ready as they could be especially little cog Burt a small black boy she despised because of how he would get what he wanted.
This mother was more of a strict warden and a master in a sense because she took care of these children not like her own but like how you would babysit for some arrogant kids. The story of Cotton Candy was more about an overprotective mother who would stay by her daughters’ side and would guide her to do the right things. She wasn’t trying to be the bad guy or have her daughter regret her. She only wanted to protect her from the dangers of manipulation and use of horrid things. The daughter in this story would wish she marry a man that would treat her like how they treated the other girls, but the mom knew that the other girls weren’t being treated with passion not love but lust was the greatest use for them.

The mom always hovered over her daughter like a bearing angel on a shoulder advising her to do the right thing and looking out for her. The girl was at the age where she was lonely and wanted to be admired and loved by a man. After a while when the mother passed, and the daughter got older she realized the mom only wanted her to be happy and content with her life. I believe mother’s in these stories are similar in a sense they look after their kids and want them to be okay, but one mother is giving them up and missing them while the other gets to see her grow into an adult she always wanted.

Story of The Devil and Tetiyette

The story of Tetiyette and the Devil was transcribed by an anonymous writer that used a poetry and writing style to describe a realistic love story and life teachings. The story is about the young Guadeloupean girl having a rough choice about her relationship with her life companion and family. With how she uses to describe the story by using imagery and outstanding adjectives the persons of people are determined by two animals, a pig, a goat, and lastly the devil himself.
The start of this story Tetiyette is visited by three possible soul companions. The first man was defined as a goat, the second one was a pig and the third and final one was a delightful noble man. She is young, but her age is at a bethrowing age, so each man that went to go visit her arose to the stunning silver cups and contributed the suitor with a drink as a symbol of admiration. He would ask to see the daughter and the mother always replied that it is the daughter’s choice. Tetiyette told the first two guys to leave her as she was not interested in them. However, she was intrigued by devilish aristocrat that stepped into her presence. He was handsome and stood out from most men. Little that she knew the third man she was so attracted to be the devil himself. He had remained observing her for rather some period now.  He made an image of himself as the best and put on all his gold before approaching to see her. She was so impressed by this mysterious man that they immediately got married. Her mother did warn her to beware of such a picture-perfect man. Her mother told her to prick him to see he bled blood or dripped slime. Her method of this stabbing him was to determine if he was a man full of warmth and blood or a cold monster sent from depths of hell. Tetiyette struck him and he dripped slime like a bug but before anyone could see she shielded it with her blood and lied to her mother and alleged that he bled like a human.
Not like the funeral tales Tetiyette and the Devil is told by a teenage woman and the anonymous author who inscribed this story could in tell it any course and there are many ways that the story can be taken in many ways. The story relates to the young adults that are new in their relationships. The life lesson that the book was trying to portray is listening and obeying your parents is a good and safe thing. The author portrays feelings by using tragedy when the girl wept out to her parents for aid, but they didn’t come save her. This story reminds us to continuously remember the value that is being given to us readers. The end of the tragedy that is a tale Tetiyette is protected from the devil and the parents were disappointed because she didn’t listen. The moral of the story is listening your parents is always a good thing because they come the rescue when you need them. As soon as she needed the devil more they did not like where heart lied and opposed of her actions. In conclusion if she had listened to her parents she could have stayed out of danger in the first place.
