While
There was always battles and theft, Piracy in the Caribbean lead to more
trading and economic growth because Trading resources helped provide food,
shelter and money, the trading of tobacco, rum, and sugar was worth as much as
silver coins, and It was the best way to trade and easy to plunder. Havana
handles most of Cuba’s food imports and exports with the wide variety of rum,
sugar, and tobacco it is one the largest trading grounds in the Caribbean. The
rum and Tobacco trade in Havana are one of the largest trading with pirates and
sugar is a common trade for the general population and for the privateers.
I would suggest reworking your intro and using an anecdote hook involving a story of a pirate during the golden age of piracy. As of now your intro is choppy as opposed to flowing, it also came off as redundant and seemed to lack any direction. It does seem you know the direction you wish to take but only need to find a way to express that in the writing.
